Welcome to the 8th Annual CHHD Research Day

Child Health and Human Development Research Day was conceived to provide the program members and guests information and updates about the research in the program, and to initiate and reinforce collaborations.

This year, we are very lucky and privileged to have the ability to participate in the research day through an in-person event. The health of the CHHD members and staff, however, remains our top priority. Accordingly, below you will find a set of regulations that need to be strictly followed to ensure a safe, pleasant, and successful research day.

Oral presentations will be held in the Drs. Richard & Sylvia Cruess Amphitheatre (auditorium) of the glen site in Bloc E (ES1.1129). The presentations can also be accessed through Zoom (link will be provided). Poster presentations will be held in the corridor outside the auditorium all the way to the atrium of Bloc E (more info will be provided to poster presenters and judges in due time). We hope this arrangement will allow an ongoing conversation and interactive discussions without creating crowds and violating the COVID-19 gathering regulations.

All CHHD members from the CTB, CORE, and CIM are invited to participate in this event! Trainees, however, will be given presentation priority as we want this event to be an opportunity for the CHHD trainees community to show their results and receive feedback, and most of all, improve their communication skills that are essential for the success of any future researcher.

We are looking forward to seeing you in person on the CHHD Research Day!

Health and Safety Measures (Important!)

Rules for the auditorium (room ES1.1129):

- Maximum capacity is 100 attendees with masks on at all times.
- No food or beverage permitted at any time at risk of being fined. The only permitted item is a capped bottle of water.

- We kindly ask participants to treat the auditorium with courtesy as to not leave any messes behind.

- Any damage to the equipment or space of the auditorium will be charged to the individual causing the damage.

Rules for the space outside the auditorium (including the atrium of Bloc E):

- During poster presentations, both presenter and audience should be wearing masks.

- Masks can be removed temporarily to drink water.

Rules for food and drink:

- When snacks and hot beverages are provided, people are expected to be 2 meters apart since the masks will be off in the atrium.

- During lunch, participants are asked to practice the usual safety measures when having their lunch (lunch will be provided and individually packaged).

Please remember to enjoy your time and make the best out of it, but please don't forget that we are still required to practice safety measures because of the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
